Chris Bell
as the title suggests... we at CDS wondering how many of you feel MSFS 2020 cold benefit from having Black Marble addon ported to the platform? +RichardMcDonaldWoods
As I no longer use P3D and will only use MSFS when commercial aircraft are available, I would find the potential Black Marble for MSFS very attractive.😄 As a community, we are not yet able to say what will be the MSFS default equivalent of Black Marble. Presumably, Chris, you feel that your proposal could significantly improve the MSFS defaults. If true, then bring it on. I shall be a happy customer.😍
Chris Bell
Thank you for your feedback Richard 🙏 such challenge is a significant undertaking from many aspects, our end goal would be to improve on defaults night visuals which we feel are not what they could be in MSFS2020, we can make a rough comparison to todays LM's native lighting system vs. Black Marble lighting system as far as night visuals go,
RichardMcDonaldWoods
Presumably you feel that you can deliver a solution that will be better than MS can deliver in the same timeframe.😇
Chris Bell
indeed, we are exploring varius options atm, @RichardMcDonaldWoods anything you'd like to see different with MSFS night lighting?
RichardMcDonaldWoods
Nothing really. I am just thankful for your efforts for improvements. Thanks.
jhaley101
Haven't spent any serious time in MSFS. Would like to see screenshots of what you have to offer. For the time being, I'm quite happy to remain with P3d Curious, can you do functional traffic lights: red, yellow, green.

Chris Bell
few other priorities taken first stage past few weeks, development wise we have hit a roadblock with lights models, everything else technically completed by now including a live full data set, atm we are not happy with light model behavior, we will revisit our efforts shortly,
skyyicw@outlook.com
The p3d vector position is relatively accurate. mfs2020 uses Bing map (this data is very inaccurate). If 2020 does not change the data source, this positional deviation problem cannot be solved anyway. Maroon uses realistic ground road data. This would contradict the 2020 ground picture. I'll still wait for p3dv6. I have the premium version 2020, but it's been removed. Use black marble and mega satellite images. The vfr experience in North America is great. 1
