If you don't have FTX Vector then no worries at all. I suggest therefore that BM Base and BM Vector will suit you just fine. BM vector will give you worldwide road coverage which will complement your worldwide FTX Global. BM vector also gives you 10 different road classes whereas you only really have 4 road classes in the default BM Base. You don't mention if you have any other Orbx addons like Regions, PNW etc because that would also require the use of the BM/Orbx Compatibility patch. If you only have FTX Global which are just replacement ground textures then the Patch would not be required. Be aware that FTX Global also includes some night lighting which is affected by the Vegetation autogen setting in P3D. It is recommended to have that setting at Sparse.

Clarification regarding Traffic Pack! I know many of you are waiting patiently, this to say the least been waging on us heavily since we became aware, These are not the news I wanted to deliver; I’ve been holding off for so long in the hopes we will find a solution before it had to come to this announcement, the reason we are holding this release is not because the pack is not ready, in fact it is ready and has been posted to our servers! it is currently unlisted due to a bug in our manager which fails to activate/deactivate traffic data files, we have no choice but to hold it back until a solution is found; instead of releasing the product with minimal controls (sim traffic density slider), this is a significant pack as many of you are well aware; it also has many updates in the future, traffic impact in sim is heavy and proper controls must be in place and solid! further disappointing our customers is out of the question! It was all working as expected but broke somewhere as we compiled our final manager build, We didn’t realize it was in effect until we already announced it; by than beta testers already brought the issue to our attention, We planned on releasing all packs one by one with small time window between for integration, The promo we run pre-sale was a bundle deal that included Traffic Pack at the time, i know it is not the answer you all wanted to hear but it is the current situation, to make things even more complicated; our former in house DotNet developer had to leave due to other engagement conflict, we are looking for a replacement but it is not an easy task! this was unintended bug we discovered after everything was already out! this frustrating to everyone here as well, we want the pack released more than anyone of you guys want to run with it! we hope that you all continue to have faith and trust in us, We are working on resolving the issue, the pack will be released eventually, There is no need to ask when; I promise as soon as we have any news in that regards I will update you all! Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience, We thank you all for patience and understanding, Best regards, Chris

Figured it out. I didn't have to disable any night bgl, and used the Lorby Prepar3d V4 Addon Organizer to change the layering to put NY beneath NE. Looks great now! Marc

This looks great. How did you get it to work correctly? I installed DD NYC X v2 last night but don't see any of the road lighting from New York NE 1.8 like your screenshots. Any tips you would recommend? Thanks, Marc

Hi Chris. Sometimes (3 in 3 months) I get a credit of 45,00 US Dollar in Paypal. Now I have 135,00 US Dollar that I would like to spend buying Black Marlbe (Base + Vector + Car pack). I hope paypal be avaliable soon to buy at your shop. Or if possible, please, make BM avaliable at Sim Market or some other related website!

Dear Support Due to the Night Environment working in the P3D Version 4 I changed from Aerosoft to Chris Bell's shop here. I purchased several countries and installed them into P3D Verson 4.1. (Tryed only till now) The installer took me to the F drive containing my P3D installation but there I did not find any Night Environment folder or files. After a quite long investigation on my machine I found the folders in: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\CreativeDesignStudios Question to Chris why the dirction does not go into the existing P3D V4 installation as mentioned in the installer? What can I do to redirect the installer into a preferred folder ? Thanks for help Roger

Hello Chris Thanks for help , so far no problem I can do so and I moved them into F:\Prepar3D v4\CreativeDesignStudios Folder. But still I have the question why the installer which points to the Prepar3D goes into app local instead. Can you modify the installer in the way that we can choose the install folder ?????? I don't like to have Software in the app data - local folder. regards Roger

EnvShade changes your shader files. Unfortunately it only has 2 fixed presets. That might be causing the issue. Take a look at PTA. Also a Shader mod program and beside multiple presets to choose from you can also change settings according to your personal taste. That is what I use and NE / BM never looked so good. regards, Gerard

Hi, I am planning on purchasing Black Marble, but I have a couple quick questions. I currently have ORBX global but NOT Orbx vector. I don't find vector data all that important if I spend most of my flight at a higher altitude, but I'm not against purchasing it, I'm just a bit confused by what it offers. Will your BM vector also provide road data for the daytime also (or more generally is the vector part worth it?)? If I purchase BM base ONLY, will it run with the current roads I have if I don't purchase vector also? If it does, would it be possible to add on the vector part of it later with a different purchase? Thanks!

indeed our road data is for both day and night, we also add extensive lights controls with that and many other features, the key here is we bring in all road data available for the entire world with Vector Pack, and yes it can be purchased later on, Base will only utilize exiting Sim vector road data, while vector extents Sim native road data world wide, this is the same data used in all navigation systems and can be reliably used for navigation training with its foot prints day or night, here is an example of NYC from FL350 to illustrate the value of our worldwide road vector data, more about Black Marble can be found here

i was explaining in case someone else has similar question, honestly we thought it would be cool to offer this versatility to our end users; as we know from experience; we cant all always spend the way we would like to, as for PayPal it is an issue we are looking into, as well as alternative payment option in the near future, the issue with PayPal stems mainly from their policy which doesn't effect business outside the US, to work with them i personally have to submit full access to my personal (family) bank account!!! if one of you complain they will and have done that in the past over a 10$ delayed FEDEX delivery our bank account was frozen for two weeks! our team members are mainly outside the US; but i am and registered as a business in CA, the current processor we use is the right solutions most reputable business use; they have the same if not higher security compliance, we trust them handling our finances! we do not hold any personal or sensitive information on any of our servers, it is done exactly as it is done on PayPal only this is not PayPal and they try harder for us as they are not taken granted as PayPal is; we get allot more proper and human service for our business in return, which is key in making this decision,

to each company and their own policy, we feel that our policy is fair considering the state of our industry, the reality is many addons don't have proper updates; nor they are served on time!!! there is a reason for that, ill explain more if you are interested, maybe you will understand our policy and point of view better,
